Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and about 60 House Democrats just told the country Black people are being lynched.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley led the letter to Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel. They called the deaths "modern-day lynchings" and "racial terror."

AOC said she was proud to sign it and claimed there have already been 10 hangings of Black people this year.

Most of the high-profile cases they are waving around were ruled suicides by medical examiners and police.

One case is being investigated as a homicide, and the person of interest is a Black man.

Another is still under investigation. None of them have produced a white mob with a rope.

That is not a race war. That is a talking point.

I could not imagine living inside that information diet right now.

The media keeps you scared and furious because angry people vote. It is intentional.

AOC and her colleagues know the history of lynching is real and horrible. They also know a suicide is not a lynching.

They used the word anyway because it lights a fire.

If you tell people their neighbors are hunting them, they will not think about school test scores, grocery prices, or whether the law was followed. They will think about enemies.

That is the point.

You do not get to turn a family's tragedy into a campaign if the coroner already told you what happened.

The cartoon has it right. Being a liberal right now means staying delusional, afraid, and angry on purpose.

It means rooting against the country you live in because the story only works if America is the villain.

AOC and those 60 Democrats did not stumble into this. They wrote it down and sent it to the Justice Department.
