The Lindsay Clancy jury has ended in a mistrial and I think some of the women cheering Lindsay Clancy on need to consider exactly what argument they are making.

And yes, I am a woman.

That matters here, because women have spent generations fighting the ridiculous notion that our biology makes us too emotional, unstable or irrational to handle enormous responsibility.

Now apparently some women want to resurrect that argument themselves.
Clancy admits she strangled her three children, Cora, Dawson and Callan. Her defense argued postpartum psychosis left her unable to appreciate or control what she was doing. Prosecutors argue she was mentally ill but still understood right from wrong.

Hundreds of supporters appeared outside the courthouse wearing pink shirts carrying messages like “Believe” and “She Needed Help.”

Okay. Where are the shirts for Cora, Dawson and Callan?

Postpartum psychosis is real, rare and extremely serious. Women suffering from it need immediate medical treatment.

But ...

This cartoon nails it. For 20 years, the left and the media lectured men about “toxic masculinity.” Every male flaw became a social crisis. Every bad act by a man became an indictment of men as a group.

Lindsay Clancy admitted killing her three children. The trial centered on whether she should be held criminally responsible and a large part of the conversation on social media did not begin with the children.

It began with her. Her pain. Her diagnosis. Her suffering. Her story. The case ended in a mistrial after jurors could not agree.

That is exactly why it is time to talk about toxic feminism. Not womanhood. Not motherhood. Not real compassion for women in crisis. Toxic feminism.

Toxic feminism has turned leftist women into permanent victims, treats emotion as evidence, treats accountability as cruelty, and tells society that a woman’s suffering can outrank the people she harmed.
